More than 300 community leaders will attend a special workshop Saturday at the University of Indianapolis for citizens to talk about ways to make Indianapolis a better place to live, work, and play.

The one-day event features 12 customized workshops and includes ex-NBA great Kevin Johnson. It is free.

It runs from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Schwitzer Student Center, University of Indianapolis, 1400 E. Hanna Ave.

“Neighbor Power! is the place for current and future community leaders and residents excited about being part of creating a brighter future for their neighborhoods,” said Bill Taft, one of the organizers. “This is a wonderful opportunity for people to exchange ideas with other neighbors from across the city.”
