Woodruff Place honored for selection of old houses
Woodruff Place on Indianapolis’ Near Eastside has been named as one of the nation’s “best old house neighborhoods of 2009” by This Old House magazine.
The magazine considered architectural diversity, craftsmanship and sense of community in its rankings. Woodruff Place, platted in the 1870s, features Queen Anne and Stick-style Victorians as well as Arts and Crafts style homes.
Woodruff Place was named to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.
