WNDE beats WFNI in sports talk radio ratings
For the third consecutive quarter of Arbitron radio rankings, John "JMV" Michael of WNDE-AM (1260) amassed a larger audience than the WFNI-AM (1070) team of Eddie White and Star columnist Bob Kravitz .
Michael won the latest round of the afternoon sports talk battle by attracting 3,700 listeners per average 15-minute segment during the summer ratings period. White and Kravitz attracted 2,600 listeners per average 15-minute segment.
Overall, ESPN affiliate WFNI tied Radio Disney affiliate WRDZ-FM (98.3) for No. 17 among all area radio stations. Fox Sports affiliate WNDE ranked No. 19.
Written Arbitron diaries included too few mentions of the city’s third sports station, WXLW-AM (950), for it to be listed in the ratings.
