Wisconsin men win Big Ten
Wisconsin packed five runners among the top eight to secure an 11th straight men’s team title Sunday in the Big Ten Cross Country Championships at State College, Pa. Wisconsin scored 26 points, followed by Ohio State with 91 and Minnesota with 97. Indiana was fourth with 106 and Purdue 10th with 279.
Freshman Zach Mayhew was sixth and Andrew Poore 10th to lead the Hoosiers. Ohio State’s Adam Green (Franklin Central) was 20th.
Penn State edged Illinois 71-77 to win the women’s title. Indiana finished seventh and Purdue ninth. Wendi Robinson was fifth and Sarah Pease eighth for the Hoosiers.
