Wii Fit, Day 3

OK, so I started this thing expecting what I do from most Wii games: It’s fun for the first few days, then the thrill of the whole omg-it’s-so-interactive thing wears off.

With the Wii Fit, I figured I spent $40 more on a game than I normally would’ve for the balance board, and then get bored. And for the first few days, yeah. It looked that way. Breathing and balancing exercises? Come on, Nintendo. I was looking to be entertained by a fitness regimen!

Which brings me to the third day. This day shall forever be known as Hula Hoop Tuesday. I had no idea that gyrating in a circle (or…what FELT like a circle) with an imaginary ring around my hips could work me out so hard.

I tried this exercise out in front of a few friends, and did so with some, uh, humor at the movements my body would make.

Then I got into it.

Sure, I couldn’t catch the hula hoops the other miis were throwing at me (that balance thing coming back to bite me), but it didn’t matter.

Four days into it, I was sore.
