When Did You Last See Your Father (2)
Several weeks ago, I reviewed the superb "When Did You Last See Your Father" after seeing it in New York. It is now playing at Landmark, and I encourage all to go see it.
It is an adult, endearing, sophisticated film about an adult son (Colin Firth) reflecting on his tormented relationship with his larger-than-life physician father, played by the always-sensational Jim Broadbent. See it and let me know what you think.
Thanks Robert.. I went ahead and added your review to related posts. I'll try to find the time to go see this one. Judging from a preview I saw, and from your review, it looks great.

This marks a mature, about-your-parents twofer for Colin Firth after his turn in "Then She Found Me."

I agree. I heard some women make the interesting remark that Firth makes decency look sexy.
May there is hope for some of us after all?

Very apt. I haven't yet seen "Father," but he was just excellent in "Then She Found Me."
