What were your first two concerts that you attended?
Mine were KISS, and KC and the Sunshine Band. Don't ask me why I went to the latter. People do a lot of dumb things when they are young.
Rok Hollywood, Kiss, concert, Indianapolis, Indiana, Market Square Arena, band, Music, 80's, rock

This dates me, but mine were the Guess Who, and Alice Cooper.
Can't remember what my 2nd concert was. I was lucky to have lived in a music enthusiast household so when I was born I was goin' to concerts. My first show ever was at the age of 8 months and it was Elvis @ Market Square. I also saw/met Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, the real Beach Boys all at different shows, but this was all before I was 10 years old....
I think Tom Petty was first and then Bob Seger.
Sadly/regretfully, the first concert I went to, was with my girlfriend & HER MOM! It was 'Huey Blewus In the Nude', my second was was Van Halen 1984 tour(both showe were @ Ft. Wayne War Memorial Coliseum).
Awe Man!!! I had a video tape of the Van Halen 1984 tour when I was younger, and I wore that thing out. Those guys could put on a show. I never had the chance to see them in person.

- Kiss at Market Sqare Arena 1979 (Dynasty Tour)
- Rainbow/Par Travers and Krokus at Convention Center 1982 (Difficult To Cure Tour)
Eddie Cantor at the Tip-Top-Tap in the Allerton Hotel, Chicago 1922 followed by Perry Como in Weehauken NJ, in 1943. Time travel really messes me up.
Rebecca St. James and Santa Slam, not sure what years those were in though. I know the first one was in the '90s, but I can't remember how old I was for Santa Slam.
Toto @ Kings Island Senior Night 1980(WTF!!I've been outa school how long?) J. Geils Band @ Louisville Gardens 1983
I was a late bloomer and after a slow start I've seen hundreds of shows now...music makes me HAPPY...

NKOTB/Tommy Page...then years later, Candlebox! Unless you count The News Boys somewhere in there.

Local string festival back in '77. About 600 secondary school string players of various ages/skill levels played. It was also my first performance when I was 6.
Second concert? Likely the Louisville Orchestra when I was in the first grade.
ummmm......yeahhhhh mkayy...

I still have the program book for it. There were literally about 600 string players there.
how about your first 'Rock and Roll' concert, say when you were a teenager?
Jon Silpayamanant : RE: What were your first two concerts that you attended? More..
Oh? Is that the game we're playing? It only counts as a concert if it's 'Rock' (I'll assume you just meant 'Rock' rather than 'Rock and Roll' since that could technically be considered a different genre altogether)? Ironic coming from someone whose profile says "wide array of interests" but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you din't mean that regarding music. But ok, I'll play along.
First locals seen - 1986 local rock acts at the Y in New Albany, Indiana. First Nationals seen - 1989 "Clash of the Titans" (Alice in Chains, Anthrax, Megadeth, Slayer) in Louisville, Kentucky. First I played - 1991 Maximum Security Chamber, alt rock group in Greencastle, Indiana. In Indy, then in 2004 with my current Indianapolis based band, il Troubadore.
That better?
Jackyl opening for Aerosmith in '91, I think. My aunt took me.sigh But then it was Fishbone in Cincinnati after that. So I'm saved.
My first "club show" was Johnny Socko, Pizzle, and the Plastic Cheeses at the old Rhinos in Bloomington. See, everything got better after Areosmith. But I guess it kind of has to.
I know I’m gettin in on this rather late, but just gotta for posterity.
How about The Beatles at the Indiana State Fair(Horse Track) and Jimi Hendryx in the Colosseum. Now that’s rock history!
