What this city needs...

Just gonna put this out there…I think our great city has a lot to offer but there’s definitely something missing. I’m not saying I know what “it” is but I know that every weekend I’m somehow struggling to come up with something new and exciting to do with my friends. I know that I’d much rather be in Chicago or someplace where the clubs are more exclusive, the dive bars are more “dive-y” and there are plenty of fresh faces to run into. In Indianapolis I find myself running into the exact same crowd of people I ran into the weekend before (or sometimes even the night before). Just wondering what YOU fine people think Indy needs to be pushed up to the next level.
I personally would LOVE to see a burlesque club of some sort. Downtown would be ideal. Something classy, dress codes enforced, great drinks, etc etc etc. GREAT music, live would be ideal…import a featured dancer from Vegas every once in a while.

Just my 2 cents…feedback appreciated.

Love,

Kay Jay

I love titties but those Burlesque girls are dogs. PT’s and Brad’s are where its at.

Classy. And I’m sure you’re beating them off with sticks.

It’s more likely that he’s just beating off.

I think RandyDaytona should be the subject of Konrad’s next sex column.

I’d like more metal shows (by which I mean “more than none”), but I’m probably alone in that.

I’m having a hard time coming up with one tangible thing that I’d like to see more of in Indy. What I’d really like to see is more brains. There seems to be a culture of ignorance that seeps into everything here. Aside from a few mad scientists huddled away in the labs at Lilly, Indy has a dearth of highly-educated and/or brilliant people.

Hey Dana… did you go to Indy MetalFest this year? If so, how was it?

I did, and it was garbage. The second day was cancelled, and it was mostly American thrash metal. I would much rather have gone to Belgium to see Otep and Tarja at Metal Female Voices Fest. Fortunately I’ve been able to see most of that lineup separately… in Chicago, Fort Wayne, and Louisville.
