What's your best/worst movie of the summer so far?
It's July 7, which believe it or not means the summer movie season is winding down. We've got Dark Knight on the 18th and a few other semi-big movies here and there, but most of the major blockbuster-wannabes are already out.
So what movie was your favorite so far? Your least favorite?
I would have to go with Wall-E and Iron Man as my favorite picks. Iron Man was just a fun, fun flick, while Wall-E combined social commentary with kid-friendly shtick. Indiana Jones and Sex in the City also get top marks.
Least favorite would have to be The Happening, which just plain sucked. I stuck up for M. Night Shyamalan from all the pummeling he's gotten lately, but this movie missed the mark completely.
Hancock was also a major disappointment to me (though not to box office bean counters -- $107 million!!).
What hot-weather flicks sent you into a state of bliss or frustration?
Indiana Jones was good, I really liked it.
Iron Man was definately better than I though it was going to be. I just did not expect that kind of performance out of Robert Downey Jr. It was probably my favorite movie this summer.
