The Downtown Westfield Neighborhood Association will open the second season of the Westfield Market on June 5.

The Market will offer local produce, specialty food items, flowers and art from 4 to 8 p.m. Fridays through Oct. 2, except July 3, at the corner of South Walnut and Main streets.

Six special event days are planned: June 19, Community Night; July 10, Patriotic Market; July 24, Fire Department Iron Chef Cookoff; Aug. 14, Kids Night; Aug. 28, Dog Days of Summer; and Sept. 11, Seniors Night.

Volunteers are needed to work from 3 to 6 p.m. and 6 to 8:30 p.m. as co-managers, greeters and counters, floaters and alternates.

For more information or to volunteer, call the Westfield Chamber of Commerce at (317) 804-3030. To become a vendor, call Market manager John Schaaf at (317) 867-5427 or (317) 370-5457.
