Before last year’s playoffs, the Ben Davis-Warren Central rivalry had been pretty one-sided. The previous five years had seen eight straight Warren Central wins. The 2008 regular season also featured a Warriors victory: 42-21.

But when the Giants traveled to their Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference foe’s place for a rematch in the postseason, the outcome reversed: Ben Davis 45, Warren Central 23.

The two schools face off again at 8:15 p.m. Saturday in Lucas Oil Stadium.

Both teams are coming off wins. Warren Central took out Lawrence North 49-20 last week, and Ben Davis pounded North Central 31-0.

In another game of note, Pike is at Lawrence Central and will be looking for its second straight win after routing Southport last week 33-7.
