Tyson plans expansion in Corydon, adding 78 jobs

Tyson Foods will expand its poultry processing operations in Corydon, creating 78 jobs in the next year. The world’s largest processor and marketer of chicken, beef and pork will invest $626,000 in equipment to relocate chicken-deboning lines from Arkansas and Missouri to its facility in Harrison County, the Indiana Economic Development Corp. said Friday. The Corydon facility produces more than 127 million pounds of fried, marinated and rotisserie chicken per year for grocery store delis. It employs 650 and will hire more. (Star report)

Cook Inc. files complaint Aiming to protect its technology for endovascular repair of aortic aneurysms, Bloomington-based Cook Inc. said it has filed a complaint against Irvine, Calif.-based Endologix in U.S. District Court in Indianapolis. The complaint, filed this week claimed infringement of Cook’s two patents for endovascular stent-grafts obtained in 1991 and 1998. (Star report)
