The Indianapolis Indians closed the regular season with a 4-2 victory over the host Louisville Bats on Monday to snap a season-high five-game losing streak.

The Tribe (70-73) finished in third place in the West Division of the International League, 141/2 games behind Louisville.

The Bats (84-58) will open the first round of the playoffs, a best-of-five series, Wednesday at South Division champion Durham (83-61).

The Tribe scored twice in the eighth to snap a 2-2 tie on a fielder’s choice grounder by Chris Barnwell and a throwing error by second baseman Todd Frazier.

The Bats jumped out to a 2-0 lead on a solo homer by Danny Dorn in the second and an RBI single by Chris Valaika in the fourth.

The Tribe tied the score on an RBI single by Hector Gimenez in the sixth and Jose Tabata’s double-play grounder with the bases loaded in the seventh.
