WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Travis Iles of the Sigma Chi team has won Purdue annual Grand Prix go-kart race.

The senior from Mt. Vernon, Ill., took the lead by the 40th lap and stayed in front for the rest of the 160-lap race Saturday. It was his first win in four tries in the annual event. Theta Tau’s Sean Noonan, a senior from Perrineville, N.J., came in second.

New York Jets tight end Dustin Keller, a former Purdue football player, was the event’s grand marshal. The Purdue Grand Prix Foundation conducts the kart race and related events each year to raise money for student scholarships.
