About The HUE The Hue is an instrumental progressive rock quartet from Chicago featuring Marcus Rezak and Jared Rabin on guitars, Kyle Meyers on bass, and Brian Gilmanov on drums. These four accomplished musicians joined forces in January of 2007 and since taken the Midwest by storm. With an array of influences that range from film scores, metal and jazz to classical and bluegrass, The Hue has succeeded in creating a totally unique brand of electrified instrumental music. All four members contribute songs, giving the band an incredibly diverse palate of entirely instrumental material. As their blistering sound continues to evolve, the band constantly finds new ways to create action-packed musical stories. From tight progressive rock tunes and wild dance-till-you-drop numbers to lyrical and melodious jazz pieces, a fiery dose of dueling guitars mix with the on-point attack of the rhythm section to reach explosive peaks. Making huge strides in their short time together, The Hue has played alongside some of the nation's best acts including The Omega Moos, The Wood Bros, Karl Denson, Garaj Mahal, New Monsoon, The Motet, and The Breakfast amongst others. Emerging out of a weekly stint at Chicago's legendary Wise Fools Pub, the band has gone on to perform all over the Midwest at venues including The Metro, House of Blues, Abbey Pub, Martyrs The Kinetic Playground, the Blind Pig, Founders Brewery, and The Canopy Club. In November 2007, the Unscene EP was released to a nearly sold out crowd at Chicago's Kinetic Playground. Recorded at Rax Trax Recording in Chicago, the record showcases the band's compositional strength and captures their live sound.

About JOBU JoBu was born in October of 2005 at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale Il. They first began by blending their love for guitar driven music. As friends and a fan base began to assemble, JoBu decided they would give something back to the fans; rhythmic beats that move bodies towards the dance floor. The band decided that they needed to incorporate more vocals, catchy melodies and encompassing grooves that would really hit home with the audience. During the next two years, JoBu managed to gain an outstanding reputation as a local artist, selling out venues all over Carbondale, and making a move all around the mid-west. The summer of 2007 the band gained acceptance in the Summer Camp Music Festival in Chillicothe, IL. One day Matt Hines received a call from good friend and phenomenal drummer Evan Ryan. Evan had always been a friend of Matt's since high school, but had been busy studying Jazz and Classical Performance at the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University in the city. Evan decided to come to Carbondale to fill the gap in JoBu's musical soul. Since his arrival, JoBu has astonished fans with their intense musical ability, songwriting knowledge and crazy showmanship. JoBu is happy to announce the arrival of their first professional studio album "Stop Time", available at cdbaby.com, itunes, and like always at JoBu shows everywhere!!
