Numerous unsung Americans fight full time to defend the freedoms born on Independence Day and later codified in the Bill of Rights. Today, we pause to look at some of the struggles of a few modern freedom fighters.

RAE SCHNAPP:Advocacy depends on free speech.

ROBERT ALTICE JR.:Judge sees 5th Amendment at work.

SHARIQ SIDDIQUI:Freedom of religion helps all flourish.

SEAN SHEPARD:Trying to help dial back federal power.
