LONDON (AP) — Cat on a Hot Tin Roof is coming to London.

Producers said Wednesday that an all-black production of Tennessee Williams southern tragedy that ran on Broadway last year will open in the West End in December.

The cast includes James Earl Jones and Phylicia Rashad— stars of the Broadway run — as Mississippi patriarch Big Daddy and his wife Big Mama. British actor Adrian Lester plays alcoholic son Brick and Sanaa Lathan is Brick's frustrated wife, Maggie.

The production is directed by Debbie Allen.

One of Williams' most popular plays, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof opened in New York in 1955 and spawned a 1958 movie starring Paul Newman and Elizabeth Taylor.

Cat on a Hot Tin Roof previews from Nov. 21 and opens Dec. 1 at the Novello Theatre.
