Speedway to offer heavy-trash recycling Saturday
Speedway can take advantage of a town-wide heavy-trash recycling event this weekend as part of the town’s Earth Day efforts.
Residents can drop off heavy trash — such as electronics, scrap metal and old tires — or household hazardous waste — such as paints, cleaning solvents and oils — from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in the gravel parking lot south of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, 4600 W. 16th St.

The town also will shred confidential documents and dispose of outdated prescription drugs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in the parking lot of the Speedway Police Department, 1410 N. Lynhurst Drive.
Residents unable to drop off materials during the event because of disability or medical reasons can utilize a pick-up service.For more information, call (317) 246-4100.
