Speedway will host its second and final heavy trash drop-off event of the year Saturday.

At the event held each spring and fall, residents can get rid of heavy household items, such as furniture and appliances.

Items can be dropped off from 9 a.m. to noon at the gravel parking lot just south of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway along 16th Street. Those who participate should use Polco Street to enter.

Items not accepted include any type of tires, construction or whole remodeling waste, yard and landscaping waste, and household hazardous or toxic materials.

For more information, call Christie Manion at Speedway Town Hall at (317) 241-2566.
