So, this Karma we're getting
Is it good karma or bad karma? I just realized that it isn't specified, and I'm worried. I don't want to come back as a dung beetle in the next life.

I'd have to say good karma, but it's kind of artificial karma, like the kryptonite Richard Pryor made in Superman III. So I don't think you'll come back as a dung beetle, but there's always a chance two aspects of your personality will split into individuals and you'll fight yourself.
It's the kind of the Splenda of karma, I guess.

That's pretty funny, but not very comforting. I wonder, though. If I posted, like, twenty one-sentence reviews of Burger King, I'd rack up the karma, but I can't imagine it would be good karma. Is there a Dalai Lama of Indy.com that can assist with these important theological questions?

I'd have to call Braden Nicholson the reigning Dalai Lama of indy.com. I've seen him speak on numerous occasions about it.
And from what I understand, there is a real method to karma, and those things are under constant review. So if you did something like you mentioned, writing tons of tiny vague incomplete reviews, your karma would quickly dwindle and perhaps maybe even move the wrong way. Your posts should actually show some effort and consistency in quality. So it's a fully-functional karmic system, even if it is an artifical one.

Negative karma? What a terrifying thought. I quake before the might of Indy.com and its kung fu, which is the best.

I'd like to see some negative venue Karma. Has anyone else noticed some interestingly positive "reviews" on dining spots that come from one-time users and contain surprisingly detailed references to menus?

They'll get theirs. The day of judgement is nigh. Dung beetles galore.

Just ask Laura99in. I'm pretty sure even though she hasn't fully made the transistion, that she is about 90% dung beetle as of today. All a result of "1 sentence reviews on restaurants" bad karma. bad. bad.

I like where this is headed.
