He sat through the whole thing, with 3 bathroom breaks (which is the norm for him anyway). I've heard from other people I know who took their younger children to the movie and said it was too scary (specifically the piranha fishtank scene), but Riley wasn't affected by that either. Spritle was ANNOYING for one, and the story was on the weak side. I mean seriously, it's Speed Racer. It's got a weak story, and the Wachowskis didn't really try to make it something it isn't. But I have to say visually it's one of the most unique films I've ever seen, and to be fully appreciated it has to be seen not just on the big screen, but I'd argue on the IMAX screen. I'll go so far as to say that the film's opening scene was incredible storytelling, with Speed literally racing his late brother's memory and records, and using flashbacks told a lot of story and introduced virtually all of the characters in just a few moments.
