I was not as big a fan of Batman Begins as others. I think it would've been better with just one villain.

You did leave out Batman Begins, though: two villains, dynamie movie (easily the best of all the Batman films).

And my understanding is that it's more setting up Two Face for the next installment, with this film being his rise and fall. And Scarecrow I understand has a diminished role as well. :)

I'm worried, despite the awesome previews.

According to Lloyd's Law of Diminishing Super-Villain Returns, the quality of comic-book movies is inversely proportional to the number of villains in it. Examples:

Batman -- One villain, great movie.

Batman Returns -- Two villains, not as good.

Batman Forever -- Two villains, getting pretty awful now.

Batman & Robin -- Three villains (including Bane), total suckfest.

Spider-Man -- One villain, pretty good.

Spider-Man 2 -- One great villain, great movie.

Spider-Man 3 -- Three villains, huge disappointment.

So if we've got Joker, Two-Face and Scarecrow in "Dark Knight," we've got problems...

Actually, word is Cillian Murphy is returning as Scarecrow, which would make him the first "modern" Batman villain (that is, from this and the Burton/Schumacher series) to reprise his role.

And while I'm on the subject, this series again is not connected narratively with those original Burton/Schumacher films. They are their own series, so you should expect them to all be recast. And I know I don't want any more memories of Tommy Lee Jones as Two Face. In a different context he would have made a spectacular Harvey, but in Batman Forever he was atrocious.

I can't wait for this, but man why can't they keep the same people playing the villians? I mean they are starting to go the way of the "Griswald kids."

Seriously though, I cannot wait for this movie, opening weekend baby!
