I think that show was 11th or so in the voting. I believe they were on the top 10 when they played in Bloomington a few weeks back.

I'm sure I'll get blasted for this, but it's worth saying. You really should have the Hanson concert in your Top 10 for this week. Indy.com lists it as "Teen pop," but if you listened to their latest album, "The Walk," you'd hear soulful rock and roll. My fiance and I, as well as some other friends, are all 30 year-old Hanson fans. I couldn't stand them 10 years ago when they were pre-teen heart throbs, but since they've grown up, their music has changed. They left their record label, started their own indie label, write all their own songs, and play everything, too. They really are very talented. Too many people don't give them a chance because of "MMMMBop." They're missing out. Come to the show at the Murat on Tuesday. We saw them in Milwaukee on Friday night, and the two opening acts are pretty good too. (Stephen Kellogg & the Sixers, Kate Voegle)

So you don't think Indy's country music fans deserve to have a show in Top 10? Isn't the local country music radio station the most listened-to in the city? I wonder what the overall interst level in Country Music Expo was compared to the show you suggested (or any of the other shows on the list for that matter).

Believe me, these are all devil's advocate questions. Had the two actually swapped, I'd probably have country fans asking why their event got overlooked.

The Boris Yeltsin show probably didn't get as much attention from the voters this week because of the number of other strong indie shows on deck. Just a theory.

I offer my same question I always pose when someone wonders why a show is missing from this list...

What show on the list do you think should be replaced by the one you recommend?
