Amazon gift card maybe or a more specific store like Target. Who can't find something they need at Target. Or maybe from one of your favorite independent businesses that you would like to see supported more frequently. Worst case scenario= Simon gift card. You can use those at any store in a Simon mall.

Randydaytona is right, a restaurant gift card is a better idea. It's a nice thought too. I've found peoples pets and never expected a reward, but it would have been nice to be able to go get a meal somewhere.

Last time this happened when my parents were in town, my mom got them a starbucks card. Maybe I should follow her lead, but I have to admit I have a hard time believing someone might not like beer as a gift?
