I'm hearing that too. It's director Louis Leterrier and Norton vs. Marvel and the studio. LL and Norton wanted a longer cut, the studio wanted a shorter film with more action.

It's bad news...how can you screw up Hulk twice? Yes, I'm still optimistic.

And Norton has always been a guy who is outspoken and takes maybe more of a role than he should, but I don't remember a time when the results were bad. The most famous story is "American History X," and I don't think anyone complains about that film, though we will probably never know what Tony Kaye would have done in the end.

I've been hearing veeerrry bad things about "Hulk." Edward Norton has refused to do press for the film because of disagreements with the studio over the editing. And the CGI looks unconvincing in the previews I've seen. Here's hoping, tho...

Indiana Jones, Dark Knight are must see flicks for me...the Dark Knight trailer was one of the best trailers I've seen in a while.

I'm not sold on Iron Man or The Hulk yet.

If the X-Files investigate Squatch, then count me in for that too.

Iron Man, Speed Racer, Indiana Jones. I wish there were a few more "grown up" flicks coming out that aren't blood and gore tributes. Nothing against those but it's not my thing. I'm checking out the Apple.com site.

Hmmm, Ed Norton is doing the new Hulk movie?? I've deliberately ignored paying attention to anything having to do with the Hulk since the last movie was so completely ridiculous. But hearing that Norton is involved in this definitely creates some interest. I'll have to check it out.

Glad you brought Hulk up the way you did, because I think the idea is, like the new Batman films, "The Incredible Hulk" isn't really intended to be a sequel as much as a "let's-pretend-the-first-didn't-happen." Supposedly they're going to be vague and not mention the original, but I don't think they're going to start all over and redo the origin story either (unless they do a quick flashback or something).

I'm really excited to see them reference the Bill Bixby series, with Ed Norton in that huge white contraption thing and the green eyes, etc. Hopefully if they DO reference the origin they'll have Ed Norton turn the gamma knob up to 1,000,000 (complete with white tape ala Spinal Tap).

I'm hoping "Cars" WAS Pixar's dud. It wasn't bad, but I didn't find it up to Pixar's usual standards...the story was derivative (though to be fair, Toy Story was a blatant ripoff of "The Christmas Toy" from the mid-80s, though it changed some of the rules), and on the whole I thought it was a little choppy in execution and tone.

But if that's your worst film, you're still doing really well.

Finally saw the extended "Wall-E" trailer this weekend, and it looks very promising. Although as others have commented, Pixar is due for a dud.

By the way, the Apple Web site is a great place to watch movie trailers, though maybe not the first one you'd think of. Just point your browser to www.apple.com/trailers

I was checking out trailers on Apple.com the other day and found a couple that peaked my interest.

I'm normally not a big fan of shooting/explosion fest kind of movies, but I think "Wanted" looks pretty bada**.

M. Night Shyamalan has a new one coming out called "The Happening" that looks pretty good.

As sick as I am of hearing about Ellen Page, her new movie "The Tracey Fragements" looks like it would be right up my alley. And Broken Social Scene did the soundtrack, so that's an added bonus.

And there are a couple of kids movies, "Wall-E" and "The Spiderwick Chronicles" that both look pretty good.

In July, there's a documentary called "Gonzo: The Life and Work of Dr. Hunter S. Thompson" that I'll have to check out.

And I don't know if these will be summer movies, because they don't yet have release dates, but:

Gus Van Sant has done "The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test".

There's a new Charlie Kaufman (Being John Malkovich, Adaptation) movie coming out called "Synecdoche, New York".

I saw a preview for "The Ruins" on the internet recently.
I wasn't impressed.
I read the book last summer and I thought it started-out slow but after the halfway mark it really took-off and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I hope the movie is good.

All right!

The Dark Knight was one of the others, along with The Incredible Hulk, Indy, Hancock, Hellboy II, the X-Files sequel, Step Brothers, and Tropic Thunder.

You know one that intrigues me just a little bit? Midnight Meat Train.

And Pineapple Express, moreso than MMT.

Riley will no doubt be in line with me for "Wall-E."

There are others (maybe even co-number ones), but I'll stick with Robert Downey Jr. putting on the red and gold armor.
