The organization just started in Indy. The program gives grants to non-profits, after school programs, etc as long as 80% of the kids they serve are low-income. Then we sponsor each of the kids in the program for 6 months-1 year and provide them with a new book each month that they get to take home. I do like to volunteer for worthy causes, give blood, things of that sort. I was really in to Habitat for Humanity when I was in college, I'd like to get back into that. My main cause right now is the environment, we are trying to green up our house as much as possible... recylce, reuse, etc. I really like the reusable shopping bags (I'm actually looking at a compact one for my purse right now) and I am trying to use only natural household cleaners. I also try to buy fair trade (esp coffee and chocolate) and organic products when I can, social justice is also very important to me. I'll have to check the group out, thanks for the info!
