I don't have any issues with the price of gas. It will go down again and up before Summer hits. I also spend over $100 a week on gas driving my friendly taxi :) Just be happy you don't have to spend $8/gallon like our European friends.

Oh to spend my morning commute time on the bus with my I-pod jammin' something to get me going, drinking coffee, and perusing the paper or a mag....alas no stops less than 3 miles from my house, and no route to work that wouldn't take 1.45ish hours.....maybe someday!

Park and ride seems to work in other cities and seriously doubt it wouldn't save you money.. Now time is another issue. The IndyGo service definitely needs to be improved.

I'm glad I live 3 miles from my work. I can take the bus or ride my bike with no issue. I put gas in my car maybe once every month or two.

I'm so glad to not be dependent on the gasoline.

I looked into using IndyGo for my commute to work... First, I'd have to drive five miles to park my car in a public retail lot, hoping it would still be there 9 hours later. Then I'd ride the bus for 45 minutes before reaching my destination, then walk 3 blocks to my office. This inconvenience would take twice as much time and save ZERO dollars. Sorry IndyGo, not today.

I started to panic last night because the gas station near my house had a line out to the street. I was worried that prices would be at 3.50 this morning, but it looks like people were just gassing up for the week.

Anyone noticed a ton more abandoned cars on the side of the road? Methinks folks are running out of gas. Pray that Indy improves the public transportation situation and maybe... just maybe adds bike lanes and more sidewalks one day.

Maybe they're trying to push those new hybrid cars on us with the non-stop rising gas prices. Having a car that's getting 11 miles to the gallon, with a 22 gallon tank. I'm not going to far without having to fill up every other day. Not to mention with the economy predicted to only go down from here, you'd think that someone would say, let's drop some prices and promote spending to get us back up to where we were.

Maybe it will cause more people to use the Indy bus system, and then the Indy bus system will improve!! (Some of us can hope can't we?).
