Cool. Let us know what you think of it Allison. And Jammy, I definitely agree meditation has positive health benefits. I should practice it more often myself.

I have recently discovered meditation and since I grew up in the bible belt I had no idea it was (in some religions) very similar to prayer. (I feel so ignorant as I write this post) Anyways, my point is I have never really had any desire to pray (the bible belt way) so meditation calls to me and I am beginning to research it and hopefully begin to practice it soon!

I used to meditate a lot, back when I did a lot of Raja Yoga practices. Not so much these days, these days I tend to reserve the tricks for when I'm under extreme duress. Like went I went temporarily blind :-) Instead of freaking out I meditated.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raja_Yoga

I also used to do heavy breathing exercises while meditating that have really helped keep my asthma in check over the years.

Yes, I practice a form of prayer/meditation. I have studied many different religions in my 'quest for the truth,' and respect and love Jesus as much as Buddah. My search has led me to a more scientific belief system involving views from modern quantum physics along the lines of the best selling book, The Secret, which studies the laws of the universe, or God's laws, if you will.
