Cool. Thanks for the info. It all makes sense, although, maybe you could have a robot/computer just pic a random saying for each photo. Like "This place is off the heezy" or "High five them the next time you see __".

Good times. :) (wow, I think I need to go to bed).

Hehehe, we can't say anything defamatory or anything relating to anyone being drunk. It's nice to have the names of the people in the photo, so instead of just saying "Jim Donovan and Sandy." We say, "Jim Donnovan and Sandy are locals."

It's not particularly easy coming up with exciting witty captions for 200 photos in a row on a Sunday. We were a little more liberal once upon a time with captions, but it got old getting complaints about possibly objectionable content. So now they are pretty tame. People in the photos are encourage to give us a quote though or tell use what they want their photo to say.

If you go to a venue's page on Indy.com and look at past galleries you can generally check out the architecture and location. It would get a little old for regulars to see an overview of what the Ugly Monkey looks like once a month or so. If a Party Crashers sees something noteworthy going on they do try and shoot it though.

I'd be interested to see more "architecture" shots. Mainly because if I've never been to a place, I'd like to see what the bar looks like, or the seating, or what the outside of the place looks like before I go. It's interesting for people who just moved here, want more artistic shots, or people who live online and live vicariously. I think it's a good idea. I mean, shots of people is good and all, but it's nice to get the whole picture.

I can understand the captions, because, what else are you going to say? "so and so is on their 5th drink!"/"so and so had the nacho's for dinner!". Shrug. I don't know what would be interesting. They'd like to say hi to their mom? I'd rather see it blank, or have a random fact though, that's for sure.

There's my two (five?) cents.

way to go PartyCrasher. now, hopefully because of this post, you are now telling me that the subjects in your photos are "locals" and that they are "smiling."

are these captions written for the blind?

randy, no rip off here at all. i dont want to type out comments to go under pictures of drunk people. thats what myspace is for.

and as far as architecture goes, im pretty sure whoever designed the locations these parties happen in/at cared. the WFYI wine tasting was at at the indiana roof ballroom! (for example) gorgeous room!!! full of people, im sure it looked fantastic.

and yes. i do more than whine. i promote shows and add witty retorts to the constant back-slapping and 'good jorbs' that are too frequent in indy.

ps. thanks for pretty much ripping off the letter to the party crasher people style from my infamous "Put Comments Back on Party Crasher!" post.
