I stopped going to Sakura because their service sucks!! Can't tell you the number of times we'd wait for our sushi for 45-50 minutes and see tables that came in 15 minutes after us get their food first. Plus as someone said, on weekends you can't hear yourself think - overall, not a great dining experience. I've had great sushi at Sansui in Carmel, at Oceanworld and also the California roll at Kona Grill in Clay Terrace is pretty darn tasty. Naked Chopstix is good. It's been a while since H2O though when I went it struck me as over-priced. Ginza is decent, but nothing dazzles. Mikado was good, but not memorable. The only complaint I would make about Sakura concerns something I'm sure they don't consider a problem: on the weekends the place is just crammed full of people trying to get a table. It is a pretty small restaurant, so the place gets really loud and if you have a table near the door it can be a bit annoying to have those waiting to dine standing around your table. It's pricey, but soooo worth it for a special occasion. Their fish is the freshest; they pick it up from the airport!
