Personal Responsibility is the brass ring of freedom. Personal Responsibility is it's highest achievement. Anything less is short of maximum freedom, therefore; restrictive to the individual.

The greatest social experiment the world has ever known is America. Personal Responsibility is it's fundamental principle and greatest asset, never creating the burden of life on another.

When applying this personal responsibility belief system, our relationships begin to blossom from our compelling use of persuasive data exchange and emotional motivation. That's when we are compelled to do things for another in a healthy relationship. The highest form of freedom.... that of personal responsibility.... and interaction between individuals that share the belief system.... is reciprocal in emotion, not money.

That, my friends, is why socialism is flawed.

There are a gigo-zillion, bazzilion. kudo-trillion reasons that we should help each other. Mandating on the populace isn't the way to do it best.

Improving our personal belief system and monitoring our own actions, therefore; making changes to acheive what we earn, accept what we get, and appreciate the unfettered freedom is key. This personal responsibility and unfettered freedom leads us toward the enjoyment of all that life delivers, individually and together.

Personal Responsibility illuminates all things in our lives with clarity.

Unless we live in a utopian world, I don't think the majority of society is going to share your belief. Ergo why a government, whom we assume to be made up enlightened educated individuals, might need to enforce socialist systems on the members of said society.

I don't understand how you reach your conclusion "That, my friends, is why socialism is flawed." If you're referring to the previous statement 'is reciprocal in emotion, not money.' then you seem to be referring to a capitalist system. An idealized socialist system would put the welfare of the citizenship before capitalistic concerns.

I'm just rambling man :-)

Where did this come from?

I don't doubt that most people would have difficulty sharing the belief system. The largest part won't even take the time to consider what could be done to improve their level of accountability.

An early life mentor of mine once said "My work is done when you don't need me anymore....I've got alot of things to do...so...can we pick up the pace a little?"

I love that guy.

Where did this come from? I'm not sure what you're asking. If you wonder what prompted me to post this, the recent financial debacle and eveyone clamoring for assistance at the expense of the population at large is fanning the fire handsomely.

There is a balance of capitalism and social interaction that is needed to lead a productive, yet caring society. Our appreciation for solving our own problems, more often than not, is the point. The federal government is a perfect storm of botching up pretty much anything.

Lookit, this is just my viewpoint and challenge to readers.... strech of our minds and recognize the deeper into the rabbit hole we go, the more we relinquish our most precious commodity. The brass ring of freedom, personal responsibility being it's pinnacle.

Both current and past events seem to indicate that capitalism would completely implode without a little socialist help. Unfettered capitalism leads to nifty things like monopolies and great depressions.

Those of us that appreciate personal responsibility have an obligation to hold the torch, light the path and show the way.

In the end, we cannot underestimate our influence on another person's life. This is the incredible burden of being a person of conscience.

Unfortunately our species wouldn't have survived long enough to have this argument if it weren't for collective labor and shared rewards.

Unfettered freedom, not unfettered capitalism. Your thought process is focusing on the downside. Interesting interpretation of the rabbit hole, though.

Social interaction and healthy relationships are an integral part of a successful society. Just remember taking care of one's own is allowing another to experience greater freedom. In the end, you grow spiritually and emotionally as you work through what your actions have awarded you.

Collaborative efforts can be part of the solution. Throwing money at a sociological issue serves us temporarily and never solves the problem for as long as it takes us to pay it back. And we overlap the efforts, again and again.

a sense of community and sharing rewards that are based on the success of the community is a point that deserves consideration, just not mandated on the populace.

So to be clear - are you talking about anything in particular or just letting Indy.com that you think that socialism is flawed?

You couldn't possibly glean brainwashing from this.

However, it is a point that isn't disinfected and may raise more questions than answers..... Which seems to be a good way to express a pointed discussion.

No Kool-Aid here. If an effort to stay on topic, I guess I need to tell you to get your own. Heh.

I'm taking personal responsibility for my sanity and going outside now. Dear God, the aliens can't get here soon enough.

It' a beautiful day. I'm thinking of standing in a field in my bare feet. Perhaps I'll be lucky enough to find a crop circle, I'll let you know if they arrive.
