Who else went to the Monotonix show on Monday night? I went thinking I wasn't going to be into it at all and left thinking it was the best show I've seen in a long time. I had a feeling from the second the band walked out in hotpants that they meant business. The singer was jumping into the crowd, dancing and singing on the bar alongside the guitar player, and even pulling up his short shorts so that the patrons could give him a smack. The show ended on the corner of 38th and Illinois, where a group of people held the singer up on a bass drum while he continued on. The band was not only great performers, but they were tight, professional musicians as well. If you didn't catch them this time be sure to make it out the next!
