We've been watching tons of documentaries lately, the most recent one being 'Surfwise'. It's about Dorian 'Doc' Paskowitz, his wife, one daughter and 8 sons. Paskowitz and his wife raised their children, many of them well into adulthood, living in a 24 foot long camper. The kids lived by regimented rules of not eating sugar and surfing everyday. The idea of that lifestyle seems great when you think about growing up on the beach and eating only the freshest food around, but many of the kids grew up to resent their parents for not giving them a proper childhood, most importantly a regular education.
