As I was leaving a friend's apartment last night, I noticed something glistening in the street light at the edge of the sidewalk. What I found was a metal disc nailed into the rubber seal between the sidewalk and the street. The disc just says "Schneider Random Point" and the nail has the letters GMA, separated by triangles, scrawled crudely on its head. Anyone have any idea what this is? A Google search revealed nothing. I'm reminded of the mysterious Toynbee tiles that show up around Indy (and other cities) from time to time.
