Indianapolis — Saturn of Indianapolis closed Friday and attributed its demise to the collapse of General Motors’ attempt to sell the brand to Penske last month.

President Lynn B. Kimmel said in a letter to customers than the inventory and employees at the 5333 Pike Plaza Road location are shifting to owner Lockhart Automotive Group’s other dealerships, including Saturn of Fishers and Saturn of Greenwood. It was the only Saturn dealership in Marion County. Kimmel said it will be “business as usual” at the Saturn dealerships in Fishers and Greenwood. (Star report)
