Fishers — A Fishers landmark is moving across Allisonville Road. The original Sahm’s restaurant, on the southwest corner of 116th Street and Allisonville Road, will move across the street to the CVS just south of the restaurant. CVS will lease the Sahm’s property and demolish the restaurant to build a new store, owner Ed Sahm said.

Sahm’s, which has been open for 23 years, will move into the CVS in January and will share space with the store until the new CVS opens in May. Then Sahm’s will take over the remaining space.

Sahm’s also has locations in Indianapolis, Pendleton and the south side of Fishers, and plans to open a restaurant in Mount Comfort next year.

The new facility also will give the restaurant about 4,000 square feet more space. The restaurant will expand its banquet center to accommodate 250 people so it can host larger events, such as wedding receptions.
