Former Purdue basketball recruit Jeff Robinson said today that he could end up signing with Xavier.

Robinson, a 6-9 forward from Lawrence North High School, said he should know “in the next two or three days” if he meets Xavier’s academic requirements.

“We’re waiting to see and make sure all the academic stuff works out,” said Robinson, who averaged 3.5 points for Lawrence North as a senior.

Earlier this month, Robinson said he was not admitted to Purdue because of poor grades his senior year and was considering junior colleges.

Chris Mack is in his first year as coach at Xavier. He replaced Sean Miller, who left after five seasons for Arizona.
