Residents, groups may decorate bales

Brownsburg — The town is hosting its first Build-A-Bale contest to let local residents and businesses show a little creativity with some autumn flair.

The goal is to raise cash for town Christmas decorations.

Registration began last week and runs through Thursday at Town Hall. It costs $10. The first 50 registrants will get two bales of straw to decorate.

Bales will be displayed Sept. 23 to Oct. 9 in front of Town Hall. Judging will be Sept. 24.
