The celebrity gossip Web site www.TMZ.com reports that Batesville Casket Company is making Michael Jackson’s casket.

The site says the Promethean casket costs $25,000 and will be bronze plated in gold.

No word yet from officials at Batesville, a producer of caskets, urns and other funeral products for more than 100 years in Batesville, Ind.

A public memorial for Jackson, who died at his home in Los Angeles June 25, is planned for Tuesday.
