Religion column wanders into partisan territory

We never see reports on the economy by The Star's sports writers, but routinely there are columns on the opinion pages dealing with religion and Christianity coming from unqualified writers. It is obvious that there is a political agenda and lack of knowledge by the authors. As Jesus said to the Pharisees, "You err because you do not know the scriptures nor the power of God." If E.J. Dionne ("Mixing politics and prayer,'' Dec. 23) knew a scintilla about Scripture, he would know it was not for Rich Cizik or any Christian leader to encourage another into sin, but to lead them out.
