RE: Two for $20: Deano's Vino
I don’t know what it was like “back in the day” but I know since I’ve been going, the last two years, it’s been as advertised; “Good Friends, Good Food, Good Wine.”
The wine selection changes often, as do the seasons. More big Cabernets during the winter, more light Pinot Noirs or whites in the summer. And for good reason. Who would want to drink a heavy red on a hot summer day, or a crisp white on a cold Indiana night?
Wine tastings on Wednesday are always packed, as no one in the city will teach you more about wine…and only $5! Wednesdays and the weekends are also filled with free, live entertainment. True, lunch in Fountain Square doesn’t draw much of a crowd anywhere; not just Deano’s. That being said, you always know you’ll get seated right away, and not have to wait for your lunch.
If you haven’t tried them lately, go back and see for yourself. I’ve always found good friends, good food, and good wine.
