As a Purdue alumnus, I wish to publicly apologize for my alma mater’s extraordinarily poor judgment, demonstrated by inviting President Barack Obama’s buddy Bill Ayers, a known domestic terrorist, to speak on campus. What kind of message does that send the youth of today and leaders of tomorrow? That you can get by with anything if you’re a friend and former neighbor of the president?
