West Lafayette — Feeling frustrated with technology? A fundraiser at Purdue University let donors take sledgehammers to computers, printers and other devices.

Computer design and graphics students let other Purdue students, faculty and staff whack computers set up on the Engineering Mall on Friday. For $1, donors got 30 seconds to smash computer equipment.

Money from the event went to an organization for Purdue students interested in computer graphics.
