Police lodge raises funds for holiday effort
PLAINFIELD — Hendricks County residents may soon get a phone call from the local Fraternal Order of Police Lodge as the group raises money for its Christmas giveaway to needy children.
The fall fund-raising drive began this week and telephone solicitations will continue through the middle of December.
“With the continued support of our community last year, we were able to take over 200 young Hendricks County residents shopping,” said President Dave Younce. “With the tough times many are currently facing, we anticipate even more this year and have already begun receiving calls.”
Residents can make a donation before receiving a phone call by sending a check to FOP Lodge 132, P.O. Box 132, Plainfield IN 46168.
