The Tippecanoe County bomb squad was called to Purdue University’s campus Sunday night when several threats were called into campus police.

Police evacuated the Mechanical Engineering building around 9 p.m. Sunday after bomb threats were called into Purdue police, said university spokeswoman Jeanne Norberg. The caller claimed there was a bomb on the second floor of the building.

The bomb squad responded and searched the building. An all-clear signal was given around 1 a.m. today, Norberg said.

Nothing suspicious was found and no arrests have been made. The incident remains under investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to call Purdue police at (765) 494-8221.
