Brownsburg — An Indianapolis man was under arrest Saturday as a suspect in the stabbing of a man in Brownsburg.

Police said they believe Hezekiah Colbert, 31, was upset that his girlfriend intended to break up with him and reconcile with her husband, Jarrod Wilson, 33, who was found stabbed.

Wilson was attacked Friday night at his parents’ Brownsburg home, where he apparently had been living since his separation from his wife, according to a police report.

Wilson was in serious but stable condition Saturday, police said.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers found Colbert late Friday as he arrived at a Southwestside home he apparently had been sharing with Wilson’s wife, according to the report.

Colbert backed up the van he was driving, police said, and as officers followed, his vehicle crashed near McFarland and Southport roads, where he was taken into custody.
