One killed, one hurt in dice game shooting

Police were seeking leads today in a shooting at a Westside dice game that killed one man and wounded another.

Lenardo Moton, 27, Indianapolis, was shot several times in the chest and found face down in at the entrance to an apartment on the 3600 block of North Glen Arm Road, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department. He was taken to Wishard Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Moton was part of a group of people playing dice at the Las Palmas Apartments, said Lt. Jeff Duhamell, a spokesman for IMPD. Two men pulled guns and started shooting at the others, he said.

Gordon Parker, 20, Indianapolis, was shot in the arm. Parker was taken to Wishard and was treated and released.

Police had no suspects in custody as of this morning.
