Luke Zeller said Friday he has been added to the Chicago Bulls’ summer-league roster.

The 6-11 forward from Notre Dame, who wasn’t drafted Thursday, will try to make an NBA roster as a free agent.

“I’m excited to be able to have the chance to play on a summer league team, and hopefully show them what I can do,” Zeller said. "To make it to that next step and have these workouts is great.

“I know I’ve got work to do and everything, but it feels great to make a summer league team.”

Zeller worked out for several NBA teams, including the Indiana Pacers. He averaged 4.9 points and 2.8 rebounds as a senior for Irish.

Zeller was the 2005 Indianapolis Star Indiana Mr. Basketball after leading Washington to the Class 3A state title with a game-winning halfcourt shot.
