Noblesville — Noblesville has learned it will lose about $2 million more than expected in property tax revenue in 2010 because of statewide reforms.

The City Council will meet at 8 a.m. Saturday at City Hall to discuss options for reducing services and adding fees. Financial consultant Mike Reuter will provide more details about the ramifications of the deficit.

City Council President Greg O’Connor said he doesn’t think police, fire or medical services would be cut or layoffs would occur. However, he said cutting employees’ hours is a possibility.

Another option is a trash fee. Noblesville contracts with Republic for citywide trash service but does not charge an extra fee to residents.
