A property manager is charged with embezzling thousands of dollars from a public housing community.

The Indianapolis Housing Agency has a grant through the department of Justice to target violent crime. Through that investigation with police the agency found out that they were missing thousands of dollars and witnessed criminal activity. Investigators say the 33-year-old Property Manager stole $9,000 from the Indianapolis Housing Agency through rent payments, deposits and maintenance.

They say Cody also let people live in the complex, who should have never been accepted.

Just another case of people helping themselves off of people trying to better themselves.
